The historic Course at Sewanee, at the University of the South, was renovated by Gil Hanse in 2013 — Golf Magazine’s 2009 Architect of the Year — who reimagined, redesigned and rebuilt all nine green complexes, added challenging new bunkers and alternate tees—while being mindful of the delicate ecosystem of the Cumberland Plateau.
