Buggytop Trailhead (formerly Lost Cove West) trailhead
Take US 41 west through Monteagle and Sewanee, then left on TN Hwy 56 at the large brown Head of the Crow State Park sign. Follow Hwy 56 about 6.5 miles. As you descend the mountain on Hwy 56, watch for brown Head of the Crow Park sign on your right; the roadside parking area and trailhead are just ahead on your left.

Buggytop Cave
This is a moderately difficult 4-mile roundtrip hike at Head of the Crow State Park takes you to one of the largest cave openings in Tennessee, and the only one from which water normally flows. There are two steep ascent/descent areas; one at each end of this trail. Access this adventure from the Lost Cove West Trailhead.
