Mountain Goat Trail Stroll
00:00 / 01:04

This is a paved 3.2-mile out-and-back hike along the historic route of the Mountain Goat Railroad, taking you to the University Gates on US 41A and back. The trail begins at what was the Sewanee railroad station, which handled passenger traffic until the railroad ended passenger service in 1971. It’s a great trail for taking the stroller, riding a bike, a skateboard, or simply enjoying a great walk in the woods. Access this adventure from the Sewanee Visitor Center on US 41A.
