There's nothing quite like a small town 4th of July celebration, and with the cooler mountain air, there's no place like the communities of the South Cumberland to enjoy a calmer, more relaxed summer holiday.

Saturday, June 28th

Pelham

10am: The Pelham Valley parade with activities all day at Pelham Elementary School and fireworks at dark.


Coalmont

At dark: Fireworks at Grundy County High School


Thursday, July 3rd

Sewanee

5:30pm: Kids games, water slide & food trucks

6:30pm: Street dance featuring live music from Utopia


Tracy City

At dark: Fireworks behind Tracy City Elementary


Friday, July 4th

Sewanee

10am: Mutt Show at Manigault Park in front of St. James Hall

11am: Children's Games on the Quad next to All Saints Chapel

All day: Arts & Crafts Fair and food trucks

2pm: Parade on University Avenue

At dark: Fireworks & food trucks at Lake Cheston


Monteagle

8am: 45th Annual Pub Run from Monteagle Assembly to Sewanee

10am: Parade

At dark: Fireworks


Coalmont

9am: Parade


Beersheba Springs

10am: Parade

At dark: Fireworks


Gruetli-Laager

11am: Parade

At dark: Fireworks


Altamont

1pm: Parade

At dark: Fireworks


Tracy City

9am: Bicycle parade downtown

10am - 3pm: Activities including water slide and watermelon eating contest at Roundhouse Park

6 pm: Parade

7:30pm: Live music featuring Bryanna Fuquea & Lone Cove at Roundhouse Park. 


Saturday, July 5th

Beersheba Springs

7:30am: 10th Annual Dash to the Door - 5k run or 3 mile walk

5:30pm: Barn Dance
